La Buena
It was cocktail time and we had no particular inspiration. Connie typed "drink of the day" into the search bar. We had a couple of ok items, but this sounded more intriguing. El Bueno, from Joke-Pages.com.
Connie can't leave well enough alone sometimes. Of course we switched Grand Marnier for Cointreau. He added a cherry as a garnish, changed the name to La Buena and dedicated it to me.
He's sweet, subtle as a shovel, but sweet.
This drink is a little more acohol forward than some of the others. The tequila and Grand Marnier definitely are presenting themselves and the fruit juices balance that nicely. I could see this in a pitcher with a little club soda added to provide some bubbly notes.
La Buena
serves 2
Ingredients:
1 1/4 oz Gold Tequila - we used Jose Cuervo Especial
3/4 oz Cointreau - we substitute Grand Marnier
Splash of lime juice - we used juice of whole llime
Splash of Grenadine
OJ or Bar Mix for fill - we used OJ
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake the tequila, Grand Marnier, lime and grenadine. Pour into chilled highball glasses.
Fill with OJ (look at the great color blending going on!) We tried to get that in the photo.
Garnish with a lime wedge. Toast "La Buena" or "El Bueno" in your life. Kiss the one you love and Enjoy!

With our heat of late, this looks extremely appealing! That Connie is a keeper :)
PS...did our little package get delivered yet???
That's so sweet! Is there a reason that you went with the Grand Marnier instead of Cointreau? My mom always has Cointreau in the house because it is one of the few things that stops her hiccups (which are very powerful).
