Clegg's Margaritas

We have a wonderful friend whose last name is Clegg.  Now, Clegg does not like anything green.  In fact he really doesn't like a lot of things when it comes to food.  I remember when he came to a dinner party and I told him we were having veggies and dip, mushroom soup, salad with veggies, spinach lasagna and carrot cake.  Thought he was going to have heart failure.  I was lying through my teeth to get his goat.  Yup, that was fun!  So, several years ago he and his wife were meeting a group of us for what they call Concert on the Canal at the Indiana History Center.  We were actually going to rendevous on a lovely little bank across the canal from the venue so we could bring our own libations.  Clegg offered to bring the margaritas.  Let's not go into what I thought.  Let's just say that these are incredible margaritas.  They're great on a Sunday afternoon.  Make a pitcher of them.  Pour a couple of glasses and head to the screened porch.  Plop down in the rockers and relax.  Unwind.  Just, whatever you do, don't drive.  Nope, don't even think about driving.  These puppies will whop you upside the head.  Everyone laughs when they hear the ingredients.  Go ahead.  Laugh.  Just look at the photo of Matt and the HUGE grin on his face knowing that he is shortly going to get his own glass of Clegg's margaritas.  It's that good.

I thought it'd be horrible and was amazed when we first tried it. Best part is it is SO easy. Enjoy :-)

I would have never thought that this would be a good combo... but I bet they are awesome. Going to have to try it out on a hot summer day. Thanks for sharing.

Beer infused cocktails are making a come back. I am going to have to give that some thought!

Clegg sounds like the kind of guy foodies cringe to have over for a party :) But friends are friends and if they mix a nice margarita, be it a bit oddly beer-infused, that is great!
